EMPD Catches Two Speedsters in Action in Brackendowns
EMPD caught two speedsters breaking the law on August 4 in Brackendowns.
The officers were at the corner of Kliprivier Drive and Vaal Road. They stopped a white VW Golf hatchback driven by a 34-year-old male for clocking 146km/h instead of 80km/h.
Later, they stopped a 57-year-old female in a brown Audi sedan for driving 129km/h in that zone.

“Both motorists, facing reckless and negligent driving charges, were handcuffed and taken to the Brackendowns SAPS. The duo will appear at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
“The EMPD emphasises to the public and motorists that speed kills,” said the EMPD’s media liaison officer, Katlego Mphahlele.
