Nomadlozi Nkosi, the Municipal Member of the Executive Committee (MMC) for Economic Development in the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE), recently participated in the third Annual State of the Beer Economy event. This event, hosted by South African Breweries at Alrode Brewery in Alberton on September 7, provided a platform for industry participants, business leaders, and government officials to convene and deliberate on the beer industry’s profound impact on the regional economy.

During her participation, Nomadlozi underscored the enduring importance of the beer sector as a vital driver of economic growth within the city. The industry supports local businesses, plays a pivotal role in job creation, and contributes significantly to municipal revenue through its multifaceted operations.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity to engage with industry leaders and glean valuable insights into its growth potential, Nomadlozi commended the proactive efforts of South African Breweries (SAB) in raising public awareness about responsible alcohol consumption and the potential risks associated with binge drinking.
