A Country View mother is pleased that her vehicle was recovered less than 12 hours after it was hijacked. Zodwa Malinga said her son Vuyani Malinga was driving her white Nissan NP200 van when he was ambushed by two or more suspects on Freesia Drive. The incident occurred on March 6 around 20:20, and the vehicle was recovered in the early morning of March 7 at about 3:50. She received a call from a Netstar car tracker official informing her that the car had been found abandoned in Kaalfontein. When Vuyani narrated the ordeal, he mentioned that two men with balaclavas ambushed him while he was seeing his friend. They took the car and drove off, using a dark VW Polo as a getaway car.

Despite the ordeal, Zodwa expressed gratitude for her swift recovery and her family’s support.
