Contractor killings raise fears in Germiston

Two arrests were made after the recent murder of contractors in Germiston, allegedly by residents angry at the lack of service delivery. Cruywagen Park residents spoke anonymously, denying involvement in the violence and claiming they have been struggling with service delivery issues for years as reported by Bedfordview and Edenvale News.

Another resident of Graceland Estate reported having power issues for months and said that contractors are afraid to come to the area.

The City of Ekurhuleni was asked to comment on service delivery concerns and plans for ensuring contractors’ safety.
