City Departments Commemorate Transport Month in Jackson Informal Settlement

The Gauteng Department of Community Safety recently conducted a road safety awareness campaign commemorating Transport Month. The event took place on the R82 freeway near the Jackson informal settlement, with the primary focus on early childhood development (ECD) as a means to foster the growth and development of future leaders.

Njabulo Phakathi, a community road safety counsellor, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to impart knowledge and awareness to the local community, particularly the younger generation. He emphasized the importance of educating young individuals about road safety and personal responsibility.

The event’s success was attributed to the collaborative efforts of various government departments, and Njabulo extended his appreciation to all participants for their involvement in this vital initiative.
