City Addresses Long-standing Bedfordview Water Leak Complaints

The City of Ekurhuleni has responded to persistent complaints from Bedfordview residents and the local NPO Better Bedfordview regarding water leaks.

Contractors have been deployed to address the issue, with some leaks already repaired, including those on Van der Linde, 8 Hawley Road, and 25 Talisman.

CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini assured that the water teams are actively working on resolving the leaks, with steps taken to improve the reporting process for quicker resolutions.

Better Bedfordview chairperson Marina Constas acknowledged the progress while emphasising that some leaks still need attention.

Councilor Jill Humphreys praised the community’s proactive efforts and highlighted the need for increased collaboration with the city for more effective solutions.
