Tshwane Mayor Urges Residents to Register for Voting this Weekend
Encouraging civic participation, Tshwane Mayor Cilliers Brink has urged residents to register for the upcoming 2024 provincial and national elections. The Electoral Commission of SA (IEC) will conduct a nationwide voter registration campaign on November 18 and 19 at its 22,300 nationwide voting stations. To register, voters must present a valid ID, such as a smart card, green barcode, or temporary certificate. Mayor Brink emphasised the importance of registering in the area where one lives, especially for those who recently moved to Tshwane. He made a special plea to the youth and first-time voters.
