Chris Mhlanga, the determined and passionate athlete from the University of Johannesburg, is making waves in the world of athletics as he competes and wins in his races, with the grand ambition of becoming the best athlete in the world.

Mhlanga, a 21-year-old student studying transport and logistics management, started his running journey back in 2012 while he was still in matric. His teachers recognised his talent and encouraged him. He switched from soccer to athletics and has never looked back.

His dedication and hard work have propelled him to the top ranks of competitions like University Sports South Africa (USSA) and Athletics South Africa (ASA), where he consistently shines. Most recently, Mhlanga achieved an impressive third-place finish in the ASA 5KM Road Championships, showcasing his exceptional skills and determination.

His inspiring journey serves as a beacon of motivation for others to pursue their dreams with unwavering commitment and passion.
