Centurion Robbery Results in Security Guard’s Chest Injury from Gunshot
In the early hours of the morning, a security guard found himself in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to the chest during a robbery incident.

The victim, a security guard in his 30s, was on duty at the City Logistics warehouse when he became the target of alleged robbers. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, as reported by Cert-SA spokesperson Ruan Heyns.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen explained that paramedics received a call regarding a shooting incident during the early morning hours. Upon arriving at the scene, they discovered the male security officer in a critical condition. Emer-G-Med paramedics swiftly provided necessary medical attention, stabilizing the wounded guard.
To ensure the best possible care for the victim, Cert-SA medics collaborated with Emer-G-Med, establishing a landing zone for the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter. The wounded security guard was then airlifted to a specialized medical facility.
