Cash-in-Transit Heist in Cosmo City Leaves Security Officers Injured

In a harrowing incident that unfolded just before midday on Tuesday, Emer-G-Med paramedics rushed to the scene of a cash-in-transit heist in Cosmo City.

Arrive Alive reports that upon arrival at the scene, paramedics discovered two male security officers who had sustained gunshot wounds during the heist. The situation was dire, with one of the security officers in critical condition. Paramedics administered immediate medical attention to stabilise him on the spot. Thanks to the swift response, the critically injured officer was airlifted to a specialist medical facility with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter.

The second security officer received treatment and stabilisation at the scene. Subsequently, paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

This CIT heist in Cosmo City is a grim reminder of cash transport personnel’s ongoing security challenges as they carry out their duties. Authorities will investigate the incident to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this violent attack.
