Building women futures in Sandton
As August begins, a month dedicated to celebrating and empowering women, we turn our spotlight to Pastor Nounoush Llunga of Sandton.
With unwavering dedication, Llunga has devoted herself to empowering women, embodying the spirit of empowerment and advocacy in her community and the surrounding areas.
She is a remarkable woman whose tireless work and dedication have transformed the lives of countless women worldwide and a founder of the She-Lamb Global Foundation, an organisation committed to healing, restoring, and empowering women to find their true selves and achieve independence.
“I am a best-selling author and motivational speaker, currently pursuing a degree in psychology. My academic pursuits underscore my commitment to understanding and addressing the psychological needs of those I serve.”
She added that the organisation is based locally and in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is a testament to her dedication to women’s empowerment.
“My organisation focuses on providing spiritual, emotional, mental, and psychological healing to women and families worldwide.”
Llunga stated that their mission is to empower women in communities around the world by developing their skills, enabling them to achieve independence, creating a safe environment called home by building shelters in communities, providing food parcels and clothing to the less privileged, and implementing feeding schemes for homeless people.
“We have offered a haven of support to women victims of abuse, regardless of their background, tribe, religion, race, or status. At the core of She-Lamb’s values is the commitment to creating an environment free of judgment, where every woman is accepted and supported.”
Llunga elaborated that her work extends beyond mere charity.
“It is about building a sustainable future for women. My initiatives help women regain their confidence, discover their potential, and live independently. This holistic approach ensures that the aid provided has a lasting impact on the lives of the beneficiaries.
She concluded by highlighting that as we celebrate Women’s Month, we should draw inspiration and a call to action for all women to contribute to the empowerment of others in our communities.
