Bryneven Primary School Unveils Versatile Sports Field

Bryneven Primary School celebrated the grand opening of their new astroturf sports field on September 22, marking a significant milestone in the school’s sports development. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by school governing body (SGB) chairperson Liesl Van Der Walt, showcased a versatile multipurpose court designed to accommodate sports like netball, hockey, and soccer.

This R1.8 million project, completed in approximately three months, was made possible through dedicated fundraising efforts by parents. Charlene Kotze, a teacher at Bryneven Primary School, highlighted the meticulous planning and budgeting that went into realising this state-of-the-art sports facility during the school’s strategic meetings.
