Local Businesses Launch Clean-Up Campaign in Response to Funding Allocation Issue

In light of the recent announcement by the MMC for finance stating that none of the R2 billion allocation will be directed towards rejuvenating Alberton Boulevard, local businesses in the area have taken matters into their own hands by initiating a community clean-up campaign.

Clr Tim Denny, a prominent figure in the community, has expressed his support for the initiative and encouraged more businesses to join in the efforts.

“Given the lack of assistance from the municipality, our only recourse is self-reliance, and this clean-up campaign marks the inaugural step towards enhancing our surroundings,” remarked Denny.

The primary objective of the campaign is to enhance the visual appeal of the area by focusing on issues such as litter removal, maintenance, and overall aesthetic improvement.
