The latest crime reports suggest that businesses have become the new target for criminals seeking valuable electrical appliances. These criminals usually strike during the night as reported by Boksburg Advertiser.

Assault: On April 12, a woman was raped by an unknown man on Trichardts Road in Sunward Park. The victim reported that the assailant grabbed her and took her to a secluded spot where he sexually assaulted her. She returned to the road and flagged down a passing police van to report the incident. However, when the police went to the scene, the suspect was nowhere to be found.

Robbery: In two separate incidents, criminals stole valuables from homes. In Parkdene, a gang of six armed men broke into a residential property on Black Street and ransacked the house while the victim, a woman, watched helplessly. Meanwhile, in Parkrand, robbers forced their way into a home on Wolhuter Street and stole a TV set, laptop, cell phone and jewellery after instructing the victim, a woman, to remain quiet while they ransacked the house.
