Upon arrival, flames engulfed massive structures, with the fire spreading to nearby workshops. DEMS spokesperson William Ntladi stated that the firefighters initiated defensive fire suppression measures to protect unburned materials and buildings. The team believes the cause of the fire to be grass burning outside the premises under the perimeter fence, leading to extensive damage to two trucks and a forklift.

Fortunately, there were no casualties between the company’s personnel and firefighting teams. The teams eventually contained the fire after an operation that lasted through the night and into the early morning hours.
