Alberton Mall Renovation Approaches Final Stages
Alberton Mall is gearing up for a comprehensive rejuvenation project, aiming to revamp its structure and offerings significantly. The second phase of the project, set to be completed by the end of this month, follows the initial phase, which already brought about several improvements. With an estimated investment of around R15 million, the mall’s management, led by Veritas Project Management, has undertaken this renovation to create a more modern and appealing shopping experience for its patrons.

Broll Properties’ Property Manager, Benithia Ryan, who oversees the mall on behalf of Enyuka Property Holdings, mentioned that the top floor is almost entirely leased. In addition to this, the mall has recently initiated collaborations with various businesses and institutions to enhance its appeal. For instance, the mall houses operational ATMs even during load-shedding and maintains functioning lifts and escalators.
Currently, Alberton Mall hosts 35 tenants, including popular stores like Shoprite, Shoprite Liquor, Ackermans, Maqs Fish and Chips, Fair Price, Home Italia, Rage, Cash Crusaders, and PQ Clothing. It has also welcomed new additions like Dischem, Pep, Tasty Gallos, World Sports Betting, Food Hamper, Chic Closet, SLAM Tobacconist, Matimbei Creations, and Eluthandweni Maternity Clinic. Furthermore, First National Bank will join the mall in the coming year, further expanding the range of services and stores available to shoppers. This ongoing rejuvenation reflects the mall’s commitment to providing an updated and attractive shopping environment for its customers.
