Adopt a winter buddy from the SPCA

Published

on

The Sandton SPCA invites community members to adopt companions this winter to warm their homes.

The adoption process includes a home inspection to ensure that potential pet owners have a home conducive to animals. Interested animal lovers will be expected to cover the cost of adoption fees, vaccinations, deworming, and sterilisation.

There are a few things to keep in mind when looking to adopt a pet from the Sandton SCPA:

People looking to adopt pets have to meet their desired pet in person. You will be required to complete and submit a booking form and pay a non-refundable deposit of R200. Proof of residence, copy of ID, and permission letter from adopting persons’ estate where relevant are also required.

Pet owners must bring their existing dog(s) in for a meet and greet with the pet they want to adopt. A pre-adoption home inspection will be performed, and an adoption fee of R800 will be required from person(s) adopting upon pet collection.
