Airlifted After Accident: Woman Critically Injured in Pretoria East

There was an accident east of Pretoria on the evening of Tuesday, October 3, where two passengers were severely injured, and one woman had to be airlifted to a specialised medical facility.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Solomon Mahlangu and January Masilela drives in Moreleta Park. However, the precise details of the incident remain unclear.

Upon arrival at the scene, Emer-G-Med paramedics encountered a distressing sight: two critically injured women trapped inside a vehicle.

Paramedics promptly initiated treatment and provided stabilisation for the injured individuals. With the collaborative efforts of Netcare 911, Gauteng Provincial EMS, VEMRU, and the Tshwane Fire Department, they successfully extricated the two victims.

One of the patients required immediate transfer to a specialised medical facility, which was accomplished with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter.

The second patient, under the care of an emergency care practitioner, was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further medical attention.
