Planned 44-Hour Water Outage to Affect Johannesburg

A 44-hour water outage will hit Joburg next week. Johannesburg Water has announced the rescheduled shutdown, as per eNCA.

Initially planned for 20 June, Rand Water postponed it to address ongoing water supply difficulties in certain areas.

The outage will now take place from next week, Tuesday at 7 pm until Thursday at 3 pm.

The purpose of the shutdown is to connect the A19 and B14 with a new pipeline and upgrade Rand Water’s Eikenhof pump station.

Residents and businesses should prepare for the outage and make necessary arrangements to minimize inconvenience.
