Three men were shot and killed in an apparent taxi-related attack in Vlakfontein, south of Johannesburg.

Gauteng police have launched an investigation into the fatal shooting, which took place inside a Toyota Quantum. Officers who arrived at the scene found the victims with multiple gunshot wounds.

“The police attended to a murder scene where they found three men shot and killed inside a Toyota vehicle. The motive of the shooting is unknown at this stage, and police investigations continue,” said Gauteng Police Spokesperson Tintswalo Sibeko.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tip-offs can be provided anonymously through the Crime Stop Line at 08600 10111 or via the MySapsApp, available for download on smartphones.
