Ponte City, the towering landmark of Johannesburg’s CBD, is now available for purchase through a private tender. This iconic cylindrical skyscraper, which has shaped the city’s skyline for over five decades, was once Africa’s tallest residential building and remains an unforgettable part of Johannesburg’s urban history.

This period of decline, though, was reversed when the building was purchased by a property group in the early 2000s, leading to major refurbishments of its over 480 apartments across 54 floors.
Currently, Ponte City operates as a rental-only property with a range of apartment types, from bachelor flats to luxury penthouses. The building is home to tenants from across the African continent, who enjoy living in a safe and vibrant environment. It also offers convenience with retail stores on the ground floor and 570 parking bays.
Ponte City has also made its mark in popular culture, being featured in various films, including District 9 and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, along with a notable Drake music video.
