Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spokesperson and Member of Parliament, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, has officially resigned from the party, confirming his departure in an interview with SABC.

Ndlozi stated that he had already submitted his resignation letter, bringing an end to months of speculation following his suspension from the party.

Speaking about his decision, Ndlozi explained that after deep reflection, he felt it was time to step away from politics altogether.

“I have taken a decision to leave party politics completely. I believe I have made my contribution in that space. South Africa is not a one-party state, and politics is not the only way to make a social impact,” he told SABC.

Ndlozi emphasized that his next focus would be in the academic sector, saying, “I have resigned from the EFF because where I want to contribute next, I cannot hold a single party membership. However, I believe the party has many capable individuals who will continue its work in politics.”

His departure marks a significant shift in his career, as he transitions from political activism to a broader role in education and social development.
