R40 Million Lotto Plus 1 Jackpot Winner Plans to Bless Others

A Port Elizabeth resident has officially claimed the R40 million Lotto Plus 1 jackpot from the December 28, 2024, draw. The winner stepped forward on January 3, 2025, to collect her life-changing prize, sharing her plans to use the money to help others.

The winner discovered her good fortune after checking her ticket at a local retail store. Due to the size of the jackpot, store staff directed her to visit an Ithuba office. Feeling overwhelmed and anxious, she took extraordinary precautions to keep the ticket safe.

“I kept the ticket safely wrapped in toilet paper and hidden in my diary until I could claim my prize,” she revealed.

Her excitement was so intense that she admitted she struggled to eat for days after the winning draw.

“I have not been able to eat since Saturday, December 28, with excitement,” she shared with National Lottery Ithuba.

 

The new multimillionaire emphasized her intention to use the winnings to bring joy and hope to others.

“When you are blessed, it is your duty to become a blessing to others. That is exactly what I intend to do with my winnings – bless others,” she said.
