Israeli Air Force Launches Largest Attack in History on Syrian Military Targets

The Israeli air force has intensified its operations in Syria, targeting over 250 military sites in a two-day period following a significant political shift in the country. This large-scale offensive is one of the most extensive air strikes in the Israeli military’s history.

According to Israeli Army Radio, the targeted locations include military bases, fighter jets, helicopters, anti-aircraft missile systems, and warehouses stocked with missiles and other weapons. The operation, described as one of the largest in the Israeli air force’s history, comes amidst major upheaval in Syria’s government and military structure.

The situation in Syria has reached a boiling point with armed opposition groups successfully capturing Damascus on Sunday. In response, Syrian Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali stated that he and 18 other government ministers had decided to stay in the capital, despite the escalating conflict.

Jalali confirmed that he has maintained contact with some of the militant groups now controlling parts of the city. Reports also indicate that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has stepped down and left the country following negotiations with certain factions involved in the ongoing civil war.

The Israeli military’s aggressive strategy, targeting key military infrastructure, highlights the ongoing instability in Syria and the wider geopolitical ramifications of the country’s internal strife.
