Emirates Upgrades Boeing 777 Cabins for South Africa with Premium Comfort and Style

South African travelers are set for a new level of luxury as Emirates introduces its upgraded Boeing 777 cabins to Johannesburg and Cape Town this September. The revamped aircraft will feature a sleek new Business Class, the airline’s signature Premium Economy, and refreshed interiors across all cabins, marking a significant enhancement in air travel on this route.
A New Era of Comfort Takes Off
Emirates’ upgraded Boeing 777 aircraft will operate on the following routes:

Johannesburg: EK 765/766 from 1 September, with a second aircraft on EK 761/762 from 25 September.

Cape Town: The upgraded experience arrives on EK 770/771 from 20 September.
According to Afzal Parambil, Emirates’ Regional Manager for Southern Africa:
“The entire aircraft has been refreshed from nose-to-tail, setting new benchmarks for premium in-flight experience with our signature Premium Economy and thoughtfully designed Business Class cabins. We look forward to welcoming travellers from South Africa onboard the retrofitted aircraft soon.”

Emirates Expands Luxury Travel to South Africa
As part of a fleet-wide refurbishment programme, Emirates is upgrading over 220 Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft. By September 2025, these modernized cabins will serve 44 cities worldwide, offering passengers a next-level flying experience.
