2 Arrested for Soweto Child Murders in Joburg Township
Police in Johannesburg have arrested a woman and her partner concerning the brutal murder and mutilation of two young boys from the Soweto township. The victims, 5-year-old Nqobizitha Zulu and his 6-year-old cousin Tshiamo Rabanye were reported missing on Wednesday, April 20, while playing near their home as reported by Briefly.
Shockingly, their bodies were discovered in two locations in Soweto the following day, sending shockwaves throughout South Africa.

The community of White City, where one of the boys’ bodies was found, held a candlelit prayer ceremony soon after the gruesome discoveries, and residents expressed their anxieties about safety in the area. Following a week-long manhunt, police arrested a woman and her partner on suspicion of being involved in the heinous crime.
The police have not yet revealed the identities of the suspects, but they have confirmed that they are in custody and are anticipated to be arraigned in court shortly. The investigation into the heinous crime is still ongoing, and the authorities are requesting anyone with knowledge to come forward. The dreadful murders have left the community in shock and have once again emphasized the problem of violent crime in South Africa.
