The Midack Athletics Club’s Cross the Line Half Marathon is fast approaching, with the club excited to invite all of Middelburg to come and join the day of fun.

Taking place at Kees Taljaard Stadium on August 17, the event will feature a 21.1km and 10km race and a 4.9km fun run.

Online entries have been extended, and are now set to close this Friday, August 9, at 12:00

Visit www.crosstheline.co.za to enter.

Manual late entries will be available from Wednesday to Friday on August 14–16 at the Midack clubhouse and on the day of the race from 05:00.

There will be no enforced cut-off time, allowing everyone to finish the race. Parking will be available at the stadium, with gazebo setup available the day before the event.

Cash winnings of up to R1 000 are up for grabs for both male and female competitors, with Midwater and Wonderpark Wimpy also offering a R350 gift voucher to one very lucky athlete. The prize-giving will take place at 11:30 on the day of the race.

A Wimpy food truck will also be at the event, alongside several other delicious stalls, so make sure you and your family don’t miss out, as the following activities will also be included:

  • Live entertainment
  • Jumping castles
  • Food stalls
  • Children’s areas
  • Face painting
