Audi Board Member Hildegard Wortmann visits South Africa to emphasize the automaker’s commitment to a sustainable automotive future. With the German government’s pledge of more than R6 billion in support of South Africa’s Just Energy Transition, Wortmann aims to celebrate Audi’s longstanding presence in the market and chart a new path for future mobility. As the Executive Committee member responsible for Sales and Marketing at AUDI AG, Wortmann plays a significant role in shaping the transformation to a more electric and sustainable future of mobility.

Wortmann shares that the automotive industry is undergoing the most significant changes in decades, moving towards sustainability, digital integration, and meeting emerging customer needs. She believes that Audi’s rich heritage of progressive passion, symbolized by the four rings, represents the automaker’s dedication to revolutionizing personal mobility with Sustainability, Digitalisation, Performance, and Design for a more exciting future.

While introducing E-tron range marked the first steps towards that future in South Africa, Audi is committed to accelerating the journey through these investments and the rollout of more innovative products.
