President Ramaphosa praised the Springboks

President Ramaphosa praised the Springboks for winning the Rugby World Cup. South Africa is the first country to secure the championship for the fourth time. According to SANews, the President congratulated the coaching staff, the broader squad, the team management, and the technical and support staff.

Sport has the power to transform individuals’ lives and lift the spirits of entire nations. Tonight [Saturday], Siya Kolisi and the 2023 World Cup champions have gifted us an extraordinary, inspired, and inspiring national achievement that lifts our hearts and hoists our flag even higher,” President Ramaphosa said.

Furthermore, President Ramaphosa acknowledged New Zealand for their resilient and hard-fought World Cup campaign, which led them to become deserving finalists. The President will address the nation tonight at 8 p.m.
