Gauteng Health Adopts Some Health Ombud Recommendations for Rahima Moosa Hospital
The Department of Health in Gauteng has started implementing Health Ombud recommendations for the Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital, including those related to the recent truck accident. According to Jacaranda FM, the report, released last year, highlighted the hospital’s dire conditions and poor leadership.
The Provincial Department has been given until March 2024 to act on the recommendations. Among the key recommendations were the permanent appointment of a CEO and infrastructure refurbishment.
