Royalty Soapie Lifetime Achievement Award for Dr Jerry Mofokeng

Acclaimed award-winning actor Dr Jerry Mofokeng received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 7th Royalty Soapie Awards.

The renowned actor started his schooling journey at Wits Drama School, where he majored in acting. He later studied at Columbia University in America for his Master’s degree in Theatre Directing.

Over the years, Mofokeng has been widely recognised for his roles in the Emmy Award-winning film Tsotsi, Mr Bones, and Cry Beloved Country, to name a few.

In 2019, the University of Free State honoured Mofokeng with an honorary Doctor of Letters degree for his service to humanity. His recently launched book Nna Ke Monna was also released at the university.

According to the awards hub, the 7th Royalty Soapie Awards celebrate South African television stars for their spectacular and entertaining on-screen performances.

Taking to Instagram, ActorSpace – a page dedicated to celebrating Mzansi’s finest talents in the acting industry – shared a post announcing Mofokeng’s achievement, with the caption:
