Disney’s ‘Snow White’ Tops Box Office Despite Controversy

Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White led the North American box office despite mixed reviews and pre-release controversy. However, it fell short of expectations, given its reported $270 million production budget.

While Snow White outperformed competitors like Black Bag and Captain America: Brave New World, analysts suggest audiences may be growing weary of Disney’s live-action remakes. Industry experts note that the film could still gain traction in the coming weeks, though early performance in markets like China was weak, with less than $1 million earned in its first three days.

Box office analysts predict the industry will see a turnaround with upcoming releases, including Warner Bros.’ Minecraft Movie on April 4, which is expected to attract strong family audiences.
