Altron Boosts Growth Strategy with Key Leadership Appointments
South African technology giant Altron has announced two strategic appointments to its leadership team, aimed at bolstering its legal and investor relations functions as part of its accelerated growth plan.
Effective 1 March 2025, Lauren Wilson will take the reins as Group Executive of Altron’s Legal Department. Meanwhile, Zanele Salman will step into the role of Group Executive of Investor Relations, starting 17 February 2025.
Altron’s CEO, Werner Kapp, emphasized the importance of these appointments in driving the company’s strategic goals.

With a career spanning executive roles at MTN and SAB, Lauren Wilson brings a wealth of expertise in commercial law, contract negotiation, and mergers and acquisitions. Her leadership has been pivotal in managing procurement portfolios across Africa and navigating legal risks in 21 operations throughout Africa and the Middle East.
At Altron, Lauren’s role will involve:
- Contract negotiation: Ensuring all strategic projects deliver maximum value.
- Supporting capital allocation: Overseeing due diligence processes.
- Improving operational efficiency: Driving market competitiveness and meeting commercial objectives.
Zanele Salman: Building Investor Confidence
With two decades of experience across business development, marketing, and investor relations, Zanele Salman has a proven track record with top JSE-listed companies, including Sasol, AECI, and Nampak. Her expertise spans operations optimization, strategy, and value creation.
At Altron, Zanele will focus on:
- Leading investor relations: Driving clear communication with stakeholders.
