licensing documents from the Ekurhuleni website

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) and licensing division have announced motorists can access certain essential licensing documents from the Ekurhuleni website. These documents include the Department of Licensing, such as registration and licensing of motor vehicles (RLV), application for licensing of motor vehicle (AVL), notice of change of ownership, and more. This initiative aims to provide convenience and efficiency to the community by offering online access to various crucial licensing documents. Among the documents available for download are those related to:

  • the registration and licensing of motor vehicles (RLV),
  • application for licensing of motor vehicle (AVL),
  • notice of change of ownership,
  • notice of change of particulars of a person, application for deregistration of a motor vehicle,
  • application for a duplicate registration certificate, change of details of a motor vehicle, and
  • declaration of lost documents.

By offering these licensing documents from the Ekurhuleni website, the EMPD aims to streamline administrative processes and reduce the need for physical visits to the Licensing Department. The community can now easily download the required documents, fill them out, and attach any necessary credentials, all from the comfort of their homes or offices. This way, individuals can proceed with their licensing requirements more efficiently and conveniently, saving time and effort. The EMPD emphasises that while these documents are accessible online, they are still available at the Licensing Department for those who prefer or need to obtain them in person. This move towards digital accessibility reflects the city’s commitment to enhancing service delivery and making vital resources readily available to the public.
