Multiple Injuries Reported in Bus Crash Outside University of Johannesburg
There has been an accident outside the University of Johannesburg, confirmed by the Joburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), resulting in multiple injuries. According to The Citizen, the incident occurred early on Tuesday, with one reported fatality. JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla stated that emergency services and JMPD officers are at the scene on Kingsway Avenue in Rossmore, where two buses were involved in the collision. The accident has caused multiple injuries, prompting Fihla to urge motorists to approach the area cautiously or find alternative routes.
A video of the crash circulating on social media shows one of the buses overturned and lying on its side against a concrete fence, with onlookers at the scene.

Johannesburg reported heavy mist on Tuesday, possibly contributing to the accident, as visibility in most parts of the Joburg CBD and Braamfontein Drive was nearly zero, but the police are still investigating.
