South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) boasts some of Africa’s wealthiest club owners. Let’s take a closer look at the profiles of the top 10 richest club owners in the PSL as reported by Opera News.

At number 10, we have Farook Kadoodia, the owner of Martinez United. With a net worth of $4.7 million, Kadoodia has established himself as a successful businessman and club owner.

Next up is Platinum Star, owned by the Royal Bafokeng, ranking ninth on the list. The Royal Bafokeng’s various ventures have contributed to a net worth of $6 million.

John Comitts, the owner of Cape Town’s PSL franchise, takes the eighth spot. Recently expanding his business by acquiring the PSL Mpumalanga Black Aces franchise, Comitts has seen his annual revenue rise significantly by R133 million.

Ernst, formerly with Kaizer Chiefs, was let go due to underperformance, as revealed by Kaizer Motaung, the chairman of the Amakhosi. Motaung himself occupies the sixth spot on the list, with an estimated worth of R145 million.

SuperSport United’s Khulu Sibiya, sitting in sixth place in the league, not only serves in multiple leadership roles but also works as a consultant for RCP Media. Sibiya’s wealth is an impressive R180 million.

Brian Joffe, representing Bidvest Wits, comes in fourth on our list. With a remarkable net worth of $15 million, Joffe oversees a diverse range of companies as a sole proprietor.

Irvin Khoza, the owner of Orlando Pirates, ranks third among the richest PSL club owners. Khoza’s investments in real estate and the enduring popularity of the Orlando Pirates name have contributed to his wealth.

Patrice Motsepe, the billionaire owner of Mamelodi Sundowns, holds the second position on the list. Recently elected as the president of CAF (Confederation of African Football), Motsepe’s son has taken over as chairman of the organisation.

Topping the list is John Ruprecht, the owner of Stellies. With a staggering net worth of $108 billion, Ruprecht is not only the richest club owner in the PSL but is also on track to become the world’s wealthiest individual in the near future.
