Alberton SAPS Foil Hijackers: Recover Stolen Vehicle and Kidnapped Victims

The Alberton SAPS managed to recover a Renault Kwid that was hijacked in one of the Ekurhuleni regions. The vehicle was spotted in Alberton by observant Alberton SAPS officers on May 9.

When they conducted their investigations, the vehicle appeared to be hijacked and the original owners were kidnapped.

The kidnapped victims told the Alberton SAPS officers that they were escorting a truck with goods when they were approached by fake police officers dressed in full uniforms.

The victims were then abandoned, unharmed, near Ivory Park SAPS.

The grey Renault Kwid will be returned back to its rightful owners and the station commander of Alberton SAPS Colonel Olven Letloenyane praised the officers’ prompt action
