Rachel Kolisi Wins Sport Lifetime Community Award at Sport Industry Awards
On Monday, December 3, South African businesswoman Rachel Kolisi achieved a significant milestone by winning the Sport Lifetime Community Award at the Sport Industry Awards, held at Vodaworld in Midrand, Johannesburg. This marked her first award since receiving a matric prize, which she humorously referenced in her Instagram post, saying, “The last time I received an award was my matric prize giving! 😅”
Kolisi shared her gratitude on social media, acknowledging the pivotal role her team at the Kolisi Foundation played in the award’s success. “Incredibly grateful. And there is no way it would have happened without my @kolisi_foundation team, who are the most committed and hardworking people I’ve ever met,” she wrote, alongside a series of pictures from the glamorous night.

In addition to her hard work and dedication to the community, Kolisi made sure to thank her brother Joel, who accompanied her as her date to the ceremony. For the event, she once again collaborated with stylist Gina Bennett and donned a stunning dress from Style Rotate, making her night even more memorable.
The Sport Industry Awards recognized other outstanding figures in the sports world as well, including Springbok rugby player Ox Nche, who won Sport Personality of the Year, and soccer legend Lucas Radebe, who was honored with the Sport Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kolisi’s followers flooded her post with messages of congratulations, with many praising her ongoing community work and the positive impact she has made through her foundation. Her achievement not only highlights her dedication to her community but also emphasizes the growing influence of South African women in sports and philanthropy.
