Help look for missing Mamelodi school girl

A Mamelodi family has requested public assistance in locating their missing daughter, last seen on September 14.

Nompumelelo Vanessa Mthombeni (16) from Leeuwfontein in Mamelodi East was last observed at home by her mother.

Roslyn Mthombeni reported that she last sighted her daughter on the day of her disappearance.

While doing laundry around 12:00, Mthombeni noticed Vanessa taking a bath inside the house.

After completing her laundry, she brought some clothing inside for ironing.

Mthombeni grew concerned when she realized the house was quiet and found her daughter was missing upon checking outside.

Nompumelelo, a Grade 10 student at J Kekana Secondary School, was last seen wearing a striped white and black T-shirt, blue jeans, and black and white Reebok sneakers.

Mthombeni mentioned that this is not the first time her daughter has gone missing, but they usually knew where to locate her.

“We have scoured various locations for her, including her friend’s residence, school, and around Mamelodi,” she said.

Authorities in Mamelodi East have initiated investigations into the matter.

The mother filed a missing person’s report on September 30.

Mthombeni made a heartfelt plea for her daughter to return home, expressing that life without her was not the same.

She emphasized that her three sisters missed Vanessa and urged her to return, assuring her that any issues could be resolved.

The family mentioned rumors of Vanessa being sighted in Ext 4, Mamelodi East.

Law enforcement emphasized that there is no waiting period to report a missing person.
