Three suspects arrested for armed robbery in Hebron, in the north of Pretoria, are set to appear on Wednesday, September 25 at the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court.

The suspects, aged between 29 and 31, were apprehended in connection with multiple business robberies committed in Block B in Lethlabile last month.

Police spokesperson Colonel Adéle Myburgh said the arrests followed an extensive investigation led by the Brits Trio Task Team.

Myburgh said the operation initially began when a 21-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint by three armed suspects in Hebron on September 2.

“Thanks to the assistance of community patrollers, the victim’s cellphone was recovered shortly after the incident and police could trace one of the suspects involved.

“Further investigation revealed the suspect’s involvement in two separate business robberies in Lethlabile,” said Myburgh.

Myburgh said the suspect led the police to two addresses in Soshanguve and Rosslyn, where two additional suspects were apprehended.

“All three men will now face charges of armed robbery in the upcoming court session.”
