Alberton City Shopping Centre recently hosted a remarkable event to celebrate female entrepreneurs and close out Women’s Month. The event, which took place on August 31, was centered around the empowering theme, ‘A doek is a crown for every woman’.

Start-up businesses led by women in Alberton and the neighboring areas were encouraged to participate in a prize giveaway during the event. Entries for the competition were accepted from August 9 to 31, with the winners being announced at the conclusion of the event. Winners were awarded shopping vouchers, while other participants received home appliances as a token of appreciation from the centre.
