Curro School Faces Accusations of Racism as Another Teacher is Let Go

The Curro Academy Protea Glen is embroiled in another racism scandal, with an Afrikaans teacher resigning amidst accusations of insulting pupils. Sunday World reports that the grade 6 teacher, Rodney George, allegedly directed derogatory remarks towards African pupils during Afrikaans lessons, prompting his resignation.

Curro confirmed George’s resignation but denied it constituted racism, attributing it to impolite language towards a learner.
