Ekurhuleni Urges Easter Holiday Travellers to Observe Road Rules
Councillor Sizakele Masuku from the Ekurhuleni Community Safety MMC reminded motorists to follow road rules during the Easter weekend. With a large number of visitors travelling to and from Gauteng during their year-end break, it is vital to make road safety a top priority, reports Jacaranda FM.

Masuku launched the 2024 Ekurhuleni Easter Season Campaign yesterday, underscoring the municipality’s commitment to ensuring a safer holiday period this year. Acknowledging Ekurhuleni’s pivotal role as a central transportation hub, Masuku highlighted the necessity for responsible driving behaviour, especially given the city’s connectivity to other provinces and the presence of OR Tambo International Airport.
Ekuruhleni Executive Mayor Sivuyile Ngodwana also pleads with motorists to avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, further underlining the importance of road safety during this busy travel period.
