N12 West Route Shut Down Following Attempted Cash Heist

This morning, all lanes of the N12 west were shut down in Eldorado Park following an attempted cash-in-transit (CIT) heist near the Klipspruit Valley K43 road, according to the Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD). Jacaranda FM reports no money was taken, but authorities were present at the scene.

Mr. Xolani Fihla, the spokesperson of JMPD, said that the highway was closed for the safety of the SAPS investigators. Motorists were required to use alternative routes. A carriageway will be established to accommodate the traffic volume.
