Anticipated Rise in Petrol and Diesel Prices Expected Next Month
According to unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund, fuel prices in March will see significant hikes. The latest figures suggest that 95 unleaded petrol could climb by approximately R1.35 per litre next month. In contrast, 93 unleaded may see a rise of R1.31. Diesel prices are also expected to surge. Estimates range from R1.44 to R1.58 per litre. Citizens can expect to pay R23.87 per litre for 95 ULP at the coast and R24.59 in Gauteng.

Additionally, 93 ULP will increase to about R24.23. This forecast coincides with news of toll tariff hikes by the South African National Roads Agency, effective from March 1. The annual increase is slightly lower than last year’s 6.58%, at 6.25%.
