While Mdlalose claimed to be 29, the NPA states he is 30, and his lawyer insists he is 31. The NPA revealed that the Home Affairs Department is collaborating in confirming the true identity of the self-confessed arsonist. The state, still in the evidence-gathering phase, is awaiting comprehensive details about Mdlalose’s date of birth and address, anticipating clarity once Home Affairs completes its verification process.
The case has been postponed to March 6 for further investigations.
