What to know about the ‘Luh Twizzy’ trend behind the Mall of Africa chaos

Published

on

Teens identifying as “Luh Twizzy” are causing havoc at Gauteng malls, prompting calls for their arrest. The trend started with fans of American rapper Yeat and has developed into a label for teenagers who frequently conceal their faces and socialize with other members of the group as reported by the Times Live.

Mall invasions have involved young people dressed in black with skeletal prints influenced by Yeat.

Mall of Africa is cooperating with SA Police Service (SAPS) and a private security company to examine the situation.
