Joburg Anticipates Cloudy Skies, Scattered Showers, and Thundershowers on Tuesday
Meteorologists have warned of thundershowers in Johannesburg on Tuesday, advising residents to prepare.
As per EWN, the city is still grappling with the chaos sown by Monday night’s severe hailstorm. It extensively damaged numerous homes, vehicles, and other infrastructure.
There have been no reports of fatalities or severe injuries despite all the destruction.

Lulama Theme, a weather forecaster, provided some reassurance, stating there is no forecast for a repeat hailstorm on Tuesday. She explained, “Hailstorms always happen when we forecast thunderstorms, but [on Tuesday], the forecast is more cloudy conditions with some showers, not really [a] hailstorm.”
As Johannesburg residents remain vigilant, the expectation of thundershowers underscores the need for ongoing caution and preparedness in the face of unpredictable weather patterns.
